Winter tires

So far we've only driven the car on mild days (temp was in the mid-teens). We use the truck for all our running around during the week-end and I commute on the C-Train to work.
I agree with the effect of cold temps on the tires, once Winter sets in the car will hibernate in the garage until Spring.
Another point about cold weather: The front windows open about an inch whenever you open the doors. This, in a cold climate like ours, scares me because I wonder what will happen when the windows are iced close?

Wow, that sounds like a major problem! I know my windows freeze up for the winter and will not go down until the car is well warmed up. I will ask about this.
