opinion on forgestars

I love the way the f14 looks, I was thinking about it for mine, but wasn't to sure about a dark wheel (like there black or gunmetal) on the Blue Slate until I saw this color (machine black two tone), so what do you guys think these would look like on BS...

they'll look good, they are affordable rims but it takes 16 weeks to make..... they r so backed up! which results in bad customer service. the problem is that they out source powdercoating and pin stripe.

I think the latest shipment coming in is all sold out. But if you're interested, I can find out from the source for you.

his car was the first car I saw them on, and the gunmetal color looks great on his PG, but I wasn't sure how they gunmetal or black would look on Blue Slate (which is why I haven't gotten my stocks powder coated) I think the blue slate looks better with a little contrast so I was looking for your guys opinion specifically on the two tone wheel (which is a little hard to tell that is what is on the Audi) here is a picture not on a car...

Looks ok. From what I hear they are not that good, cast wheels are not that great. They are heavy for lightweight wheels as they claim. Quality control is horrible. You get what you pay for

Here is my BS with Volk Formula Silver on it - it's pretty close to gunmetal. I thought the same that BS needed some lighter wheels on it - but I am really liking the darker color now that I have had these on.

Sorry DaKine but you got some bad info.... The stock wheels weigh approx 26lbs ea.

My Forgestars weigh 22lbs each. Here is some info on how they create these wheels taken from their website:

Flow Forming is a production procedure that turns the wheel (or rim section) over a special mandrel and three hydraulic rollers using tremendous pressure. The pressure and turning then force the rim area to form against the mandrel, creating the shape and width of the rim. During Flow Forming, the rim actually "flows" down to create the full rim width. During Flow Forming, pressure applied to the cast rim actually changes its mechanical properties, so its strength and impact values become similar to those of a forged rim. That translates to up to 15% less weight when compared to a standard cast wheel. Our technological breakthroughs in heat treating allow us to increase dent resistance without having to make the wheel heavier.
