18" wheels on a G37s
Does anybody know if the factory g37 18" rims will clear the bigger brakes on the G37s? Is there enough clearance, I found a great deal on a set and I want to put winter tires on them so when winter rolls around I have wheels and tires ready to go. Thanks in advance!

Mayor, do you have a spare set of either of those laying around, for cheap? I would rather have snow tires on an 18" rim, mostly because the tires are cheaper as well as the rims. I have also been told tires with a bigger side wall grip better in snow then a comparable tire with a lower profile.

Use the tirerack site to find a cheap set of 18s that will clear the sport brakes.
I have 18" Sport Edition rims with 235/50/18 Nokian WR G2 tires and I was fine in the winter with them. And yes, it's better to use a narrower tire to maximize traction in snowy conditions. It also helps to use smaller (18" vs 19") tires due to cost. So it's a win-win to buy smaller, narrower tires.
