The oem B-Stones are standard load rated, the Dunlop's on now are extra or xl load rated. It will help out in load capacity and steering response, but can stiffen the ride (which is what you're probably feeling). That wont go away as its part of the tires construction. They are also a bit wider than stock covering more surface area, picking up more of the roads irregularities.

Seriously, new tires have a protective coating on the tread surface. The coating reduces the grip. That's why tire dealers are supposed to tell customers to take it easy for the first 100 or so miles (165 km). No burn outs, panic stops or hard cornering.
If you are still within the first 100 miles, you may be experiencing the reduced grip from the protective coating. I've never heard anyone say they felt the car was floating with the reduced grip, but who knows. You might have come up with new description.
Let us know if you have the same feeling after 200 miles or 350 km.
