chroming the stock rims.

B/O sport 6MT. I'm thinking about getting my stock rims chromed.

Also possibly getting the amber removed so the headlights are completely white.

thoughts?

My wife’s Lexus has OEM chromed rims (the dealer did it beforehand) and we actually like them.

On the amber thing (sigh) not that it’s a priority around here, but removing the amber color on the front that cannot be seen at night from the sides violates federal law. It would just be another reason to get pulled over, and that’s not something you want to encourage. You could install JDM type amber side markers but I don't think you would like that look either.

you know, I never actually thought of the fact it wouldn't be visible from the side too clearly. I wonder if it's possible to replace the amber with a clear reflector for the same effect but way better look

It’s not possible because the law clearly requires the amber colored lamp (not just a reflector). Here’s the California law, but I expect all states are about the same as the requirement comes from the federal law:

 VEHICLE CODE SECTION 25100-25110

25100. (a) Except as provided in subdivisions (b) and (d), every
vehicle 80 inches or more in overall width shall be equipped during
darkness as follows:
(1) At least one amber clearance lamp on each side mounted on a
forward-facing portion of the vehicle and visible from the front and
at least one red clearance lamp on each side mounted on a
rearward-facing portion of the vehicle and visible from the rear.
(2) At least one amber side-marker lamp on each side near the
front and at least one red side-marker lamp on each side near the
rear.

I had chrome wheels on my '73 Dodge Charger back in the 70s and 80s but I don't think I would do that with my G37. You may want to consider powder coating if you want something different.

As far as the headlights are concerned the following may provide some ideas:
