O-Disc will NOT clear a set of Akebonos in the front. However, they will clear in the rear without any problem. In order to clear the front, you will have to run at LEAST a 25mm spacer in the front in order to clear.

I am running an A-Disc with my WORK wheels and I needed 15mm's of clearance to be able to clear my Brembos. Now take into consideration that the Akebono caliper is larger then the Brembo caliper and you can adjust fire from there.

Also, remember that WORK T1S are a bit more "BBK friendly" then a set of VS-XX's are, due to the spoke design of the wheel.

The break down for WORK disc faces are as follows:

R-Disc = BBK Friendly
T-Disc = BBK Friendly
A-Disc = Standard Face, non BBK friendly, at least 15mm spacer to clear BBK
O-Disc = Deepest lip, non BBK friendly, at least 25mm spacer to clear BBK

And yes, I'm well aware that this is my first post.

Front: 20x9.5, et15
Rear: 20x11.0, et25

What do you think? I know the rears will work in terms of poke, but what about inner clearance? Fronts will poke too, but I can poke/camber to make it fit I think.

I'm usually the one giving offset advice, but it seems like no one in this thread posts their specs, instead they just post pics and widths.

Edit: So I did a little bit more research, and the rears will poke 1mm more than this, and will have 11mm less inner clearance. Assuming he is running 9.5s up front (didn't post his widths), front fitment would be the same.

yea i know the front wont clear..but adding a 25mm up front will make the front a -12. that would be too aggressive and too much poke up front correct? and the rears with a +19 rear would be too much poke too right?

A -12 offset in the front on a G37 coupe or any type of 1st or 2nd Gen sedan is aggressive. This is where the importance of choosing the right wheels that fit properly on your car is important.

Don't be like me and order a non-BBK friendly wheel because you're more concerned about how much lip you have. If you want big lips and still want to run a BBK, then do some more aggressive wheel research since the negative offsets with a BBK friendly face will yield you those results.

I wouldn't be running a spacer on my wheels to clear my Brembos if I didn't have to.

But a -12 can be run on a 1st Gen G35 Coupe no problems, you'll need some fender work, stretch and poke, and some camber and you'll be good to go.

It took me awhile to come up with that information and a lot of reading the wheel threads on G35driver to come up with that information. I figured it is good information to be able to share with the community, so that people don't fall into the same issue that I was having when I wanted to install a set of Brembos on my car.

However, the information shouldn't be treated as the end all be all. It is more like just a guideline for you to gauge off of, since all BBK's are different sizes and shapes.

For example, the Wilwood 6 piston BBK is a flat caliper and it is more flat then an Akebono or a Brembo caliper, hence giving you a bit more clearance where other larger BBK's don't allow you to do so.
