Question: Is there an easy way of swapping tires without destroying the thread ?

I noticed that everytime i swap winters to summers, and mount and dismount the rims, it has the tendency to scrape the threads on the bolts. Im just worried that one day i'll scrape it hard enough and damage the threads.
Any tips ??

Never had this problem. I change over 3 different cars sets of rims every spring/fall and never had an issue with a thread on a mounting bolt once.

As long as you are just careful and don't drop or bang the threads, you are not going to cause a problem just sliding them on and off.

Pick up the wheel carefully and don't scrape it down the stud thread as you put them on or off. If it's too heavy for you to control without scraping the stud a lot, consider getting a cheap floor jack and jack it up directly in front of the studs so you can just push it right on without buggering your threads.

FYI, if they are akready nessed up replacing the studs might be a good idea to keep from messing up your lugs. Studs are only a couple of bucks each.

^^^ Unfortunately you don't "bench" the wheels off the bolts... try arm curls instead!

Your bench press of 160 is the problem here. Is that with one arm? Or 160 KG? Either is acceptable, a grown man benching 160 LB is not.
