Road noise on 18" wheels/tires
Hi guys - I was reading on another site about the road noise when running with the 18" oem tires. I'm thinking of the 09 G37 AWD sedan and that's got the 18" tires stock. My other car is a IS250 with 18" tires and it's a bit noisy.
Any thoughts?

My advice to you is to test drive the G37 on the freeway before making a decision.

It's all relative; most performance oriented tires are a bit noisy especially over concrete surfaces compared to ride oriented tires. I've had my G37 S with the 18" oem tires for close to a month now and the noise is barely noticeable.

I think that's good advice. Also make sure you run it over old roads at those speeds. I'm still getting used to the noise on my new S model. It's not bad, but I'd also like it quieter. The summer tires were pretty stiff this winter...I may look into all season versions next time to help with the ride some.
