Michellin Pilot Sport PS2

Anyone replace their tires on their G37S 19" wheels yet? I just got the 19"s for my sedan and they definately carry a lot of road noise and recieved bad reviews on tirerack.com for the same exact reason amongst other problems as well.
The Michellin Pilot Sport PS2 got great reviews for tread ware, road noise and handling. Anyone try them yet for their coupes?

I had Pilot Sports on my G35 and loved them but they are just pricey.

Pricey, quite, low treadwear. Even the Potenzas got noisy around 6,000 miles and they have a 180TW vs. ~230TW for the PS2s. Tilt the sunroof you won't hear the road noise as much.

Should I be worried about potholes with the 40/45 profile tires on these 19" rims?

PS2's are considered by most to be the best sport tire on the market. They just cost a $hitload....

I love my PS2's as well but I would not say they are any quieter than the stock Potenzas on G37 19s. Over all would I buy them over the Potenzas...YES (over and over again)!!!

I don't really think there is a tire out there for a 19" wheel that is considered quiet...19s normally are high performance tires...hence low tread wear and a louder tire. So I say go for the best and do what DiamondGCoupe said...open your sunroof and crank up the music...no tire noise!

I blame the noise mostly on the Infiniti. I'm sure with either tire a BMW would ride much quieter. The G37 is a complete improvement over the G35 as far as noise levels are concerned but the sound could be dampened much more if they put in the effort. Easily worth paying a few hundred bucks for.

Who cares about noise, just grab an exhaust and you'll never hear it

Yhen you buy and ship them to us. Be a good doobie.

I don't have a G37 but I had the PS2 on the G35 I had. I consider them to be the best tire in the world. They aren't super dooper quiet but what 19 or 20 is?? I found them to be more quiet tham most. That's the best way to describe the PS2. They are mot the best at any one thing but they are better than average in all aspects. They are quiet, comfy, they grip well, handle high speeds confidently and lows speeds with civility. They slice through water don't overheat when it's 100 degrees. They do it all above average. That's what makes them better than all the others. If you research you'll find they have more rubber than most tires that use other materials in the modern tire. My only complaint, they only last 18-20K miles. They cost too much habe that short of a lifespan.
