It is actually not a good thing to have wide tires for winter. You want as narrow as possible.

The narrower the better. So the tires can cut through snow and you won't get stuck or slowed down.

I was going to buy those rims ... but wasn't sure if the offset would clear the front big brake kit (14" discs) on the sport model.

Go with the same tire size all around so you can rotate them (and want greater traction with thinner tires in the back) ...

I went with 18x8 Sport Edition F10 wrapped in 225/50R-18 Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25.

Does anyone know if you have a staggered winter set-up for instance 225/45/R18's and 245/45/R18's - do the 245's go on the back or the front?

For staggered setups, wider is always in the rear.

You should've went with 18's for a winter set up. There are many 18's that fit our sport models perfectly.

My last post above was for the OP. It looks like he bought the 19" nismo's and didn't know that 18's would fit also.

Actually a lot of people do... mostly for the winter. If you check the Canadian section of the forums you would see a lot of 18 inch set ups.
