Can the 19" S wheels fit/work on the G37x coupe

As the title says....
I love the g37S but living in Canada with terrible winters I need AWD.
Since the S wheels are not offered I want to know if I can put them on after should I find a set for purchase?
I read somewhere that they can't be put on the x because it might interfere with the AWD or VDC systems...

^^ good question. Don't the sedans come in AWD SPORT and it has the 19's?? if so, i'm assuming that it will not interfere.

The only issue I see is the total circumference (wheel and tire) MUST match all around. if not you could have problems with the diffs and transfer case because the rotation speeds will be different. This is a requirement with all AWD vehicles. The stagger on the G coupe sport would not allow you to use those wheels and tires on an AWD car. There is a viscous link in the transfer case but do not exceed the limits.

Yeah they'll work. I would just buy 4 front wheels to make sure all the wheels are the same width.

Offset wheels will definetely effect the handling characteristics of the car. AWD usual benefit more with identical size wheels. Of course, the X should be able to use the wheels as it has non-sport brakes. But like on my previous car, Audi, and offset wheel package, decreased the turning radius and makes the vehicle track oddly when rounding corners.(seems to shimmy as the larger tire diameter grabs the road differently than the fornts) So if handling isn't much of a concern, mostly being in a track setting, you should be able to throw OEM 19's on.

The g37 sedan x sport model in fact has 18 inch wheels
not sure if they are identical size though.
Siince most used sets being sold here are the stageered Oem wheels looks like I am SOL as this is my daily driver not a track car.

You might be able to run two front wheels if you really don't want to through off the handling, I don't know for sure though if the smaller front wheels will clear the brakes in the back.
You might just get a set of the staggered 19's and use the 18's as your winter wheels, summer you shouldn't need to worry so much about the tighter handling.

I guess we first need to find out what the OEM tires on the G37X are. If the overall radius is different from the 19's with sport tires, then the question gets a bit more complicated.

The other question is whether you're trying to buy a used set of 19's or if you're planning on having the dealership take care of it. If you're planning on buying a used set, then the offset makes it a bad idea. If you're planning on having the dealership take care of it, then they'll be able to order 4 fronts and you'll have identical wheels all around.

most people w/ sedan and awd will buy 4 front rims and tires from a G37, just so all 4 wheels will have the matching weight and diameter to it.

the wheels look like the 18 inch on the journey model.
Dealer says rims bought new from them are over 1000$ each plus tax so no plans for that. Might go aftermarket or if they can work then used 19 inch S wheels and make the stocks my winters

right now before exchange rate and shipping and duties it comes out to 2450$ CDN which likely brings it to 3000 . This doesnt include having tires or TPMS. The TPMS likley vrings total to 3300. So yes its cheaper than local but afer including installation etc it will still be like 850$ CDN /wheel

Yup, I was thinking of putting the 19"s on my Sedan but after doing the math, like you did, I figure it's not worth it.

Eh, it's not a big deal and I don't really care for any of the ones I've seen. I really like the stock 19" wheels.
