Winter tire for G37S
I just bought my G37S with Tech and 4WS in red. I had to get the 4WS since it was the last one in Ontario that had Tech. I also got an amazing deal since they were giving the car away.....enough of my excitement.
I am also looking at tirerack and got in touch with their sales guys who told me that the 225/50 R18 will fit the car with no issues. However I like to ask the guys here about their feedback.
The one concern I have is that the current 19" is 225 in front and 245 at the back would it be a problem to have four 225/50R18 blizzaks?

I got 18's because they're narrower than 19's and chose rims that would be easy to clean. https://www.myg37.com/forums/showpos...3&postcount=28

i just checked with my dealer. they want $2400 + tax (13% in ontario, canada). imagine that eeh, $2,700 for 4 standard rims and WS-60s.
.
btw. anyone knows the difference between LM25 and WS60 ? both are blizzaks.

remember the clearance issue is mostly due to the front caliper, like we had the issue w/ STOOF's car that other night.
I know we did install the 350z 18"s onto someone else's car at vinny ten's shop just for spares while his wheels were getting polished and cleared the fronts and rears. I'm hoping this will be a easy save for the winter.

Check out redflagdeals.com -- they have a group buy going on (check out hot deals > automotive subforum). Also check out some other places like tires23.com or other local GTA tire shops. Use tirerack as a reference and then get the local shop to get near that price.
I'm going to the US on Tuesday to see if I can get a setup cheaper than local. I don't mind paying whatever taxes on the Canadian side since it will be a lot cheaper than what I would pay locally (even in GTA). No one will discount Nokian tires in the 3 places I've called ... I'm not here to push Nokian tires, but I'm looking at either the WR G2 or Hakkapelletta5 in 235/50/18. If not, I may go Dunlop Wintersport 3D or even the Michelin X-Ice. No one makes anything in 225/50/18 except for the Blizzak LM-25 -- no thanks.
My understanding of Blizzaks
LM-25 is more of a 'performance' winter tire; WS-60 is more for ice/snow traction. Based upon feedback from tirerack, the WS-60 has soft sidewalls, so cornering / performance on dry pavement will suffer. So one may "argue" the LM-25 is more for a sports coupe than a WS-60.
Food for thought and opinions are subjective.

Don't buy from the dealership ... they are going to rip you off.

what would be the recommended winter tires for a g37 in the upstate NY region. I get a lot of snow on some of the winter days then I get clear roads on some other days... I don't know what to get
