Tire width and wheel width

Would a tire that is 245/40/19 fit ok on a wheel width that is 19x9.5? I am thinking about getting some new wheels, but wonder if I can use the stock sport wheel tires from the coupe, since there aren't very many miles on them....

it will fit, just with a lil stretch to it! 9.5 i would suggest running 265s.

I was going to run 275's down the road, thanks for the info on the 245s. Is it bad to stretch out the tire that much?

i like the stretched look and im actually running stretched tires right now on mine. its just stiffer and not tat much protection on the rims.
the best tire to stretch are the falkens fk452!

if you want to run the risk of curbing the lip, i advise you not to stretch them, if you could care less, go head.

gan78mao, love the wheels on your car, who did you go through to get the AME wheels, I have been looking at a set of AME Shallen FX. How much negative camber are you running?

Giggaplease, thanks for the added info.

my friend distributes wheels and he got these for a good price to me since these were originally going to go on his boss's Z, but they never put it on so he just gave it to me for a good price
