Bought my snow tire/wheel package

You guys bought all the cheap wheels! I ended up getting these which are more than I wanted to spend and a little too nice for snow tire duty.

I also got some blizzaks as well. I'll post actual pictures when I get them.

No I did not get the TPMS. I figure I can live without it for a few months, and with the light....

How much snow do you get there?

This is one of the issues I need to find out about.
How well the G37 does in snow with a set of Blizzaks.

Please post your findings-

Sometimes it seems like it-

Schools don't even usually close unless there's more than a foot of snow.

Do snow tires still work in these "depths"?

Blizzaks work fairly well in snow. They do not seem to be as good as the Michellins I had on my previous car in the more extreme cold - colder than about -30 and they get fairly hard.

The Blizzak tire is the best winter tire I've ever used in about 39 yrs of driving up here. Bar none.
I have them on my FX in the winter and have easily pushed through snow up to the Infiniti logo on the grill. About 36" deep or so.
Only the highways have pavement visible for about 6 months of the yr.
We won't see pavement on the sidestreets till Spring, basically.
The 3rd week of April, 2007, we got 52" of snow in 4 days.

On ice, they're like having little claws on all 4 tires. With the FX, I can rarely get the slip light to even blink, the traction is so phenominal.
Of course, there's a ****load of salt and sand on all the streets which helps the cause, somewhat.

We regularly see -20F.
Can't speak for their regular performance at -30. I'll be trying to find ways to stay in, at that point-
