New Wheel Announcement! Aodhan DS02 New Release is Now In Stock!
#19
Ill be sending mine back because i ordered the wrong offset and width..
From the stretched and wheel and tire question threads, i thought i would be fine with a squared 19x9.5 +15 set up. But the front poke about an inch and the rears about half an inch.
Talking to a "wheel expert" yesterday evening from unleashed, he asked if i was going to drop it. I said yes i was and didnt want negative camber (going for a flushed look). He ignored my "i didnt want negative camber" and kept mentioning dropping it would bring negative and then it ll fit or wont poke as much.
First time ordering wheels online, sort of unsatisfied with the remarks i got from a chat yesterday.
But it was my fault for assuming i would get wheels that would fit after i mentioned "i want a flush look, or a slight poke, but something that clears the akebonos". So i should have gotten more info before ordering.
BBUUTT
Ruben was quick with responses, quick with a tracking number, the wheels look amazing (my wife even got excited to have new wheels), it was packaged nicely and no damage upon opening one box. The black vacuum is a sweet color (car is graphite shadow)..

You will naturally have some camber when you lower it. BUT, if you get camber kits and correct it you still want a little camber, it'll handle better as long as you don't go too crazy with it. That being said, yeah get those +22 and that'll help a bit. Ruben was SUPER helpful for me so I can only imagine your return procedure will go very smoothly.

Oh i know negative camber will come with lowering (i owned several dropped trucks/cars). It just didnt sit right with me of how i kept mentioning i didnt want negative camber with i lower only to fall on blind eyes (this was in a chat). When i do lower, im going with a camber kit and dont want to be "hellaflush" and chewing through tires (we daily drive the car).
I chose to further not deal with the company after i send these back.. personal choice.

hey bro im very sorry you are disappointed, i spoke to my colleague and he stated that the reason why he kept reiterating about the negative camber is because a lot of customers dont know that information, so he wanted to make sure that you were aware that you are not required to purchase a camber kit, just a slight drop. He did inform me that he is waiving the restocking fee because it was a mistake and we understand that and that is something that we can control. But for the shipping that is something we cannot control, shipping is expensive and if it is a recommended set up from us we take the hit on everything but since it was a selected spec on your part bro we cannot take the hit on shipping, we only helped with clearing the calipers. I will take the return back and make it as simple as possible but im sorry bro, if we had to waive shipping cost to customers we would be out of business.
Below I have attached a pic of a 19X9.5 Et12 and 19X10.5 ET22 which is a very similar spec as what our customer purchased, that pic is actually a few MM more aggressive then the ET15. For future wheel purchases from other customer and as a reference.

When I originally ordered my Vossen wheels, from Vossen, I also ordered the wrong offset for my rear wheel. They said they'd change it out for me but I was responsible for the shipping. That's just the way it is with 99.9% of vendors and understandable in my opinion from a business aspect of things. Just cover the shipping and get the correct offsets of you really don't want the poke.

Hey.. i understand.. its all good... ill do what i have to to get these beautiful wheels back to them so they can sell them to someone else who can fit them to their liking.
And i mentioned to the "wheel expert" that i manage a business myself and know the pros and cons of catering to a certain person.... you should have responded in a pm to me about that.
Again
Fast shipping, fast responses.. again i should have did my homework...

Sorry to hear that the fit wasn't what you were expecting. I've done countless hours of research on wheel fitment and it can be really subjective. I just bought a square set for my lowered sedan that is 9.5 +38 and IMO this is as flush as I'd ever want to be. There's others that run 9.5 +25 on sedans and are happy with that fit.
I'm with you as far as poke and camber, just not my cup of tea, but I guess it's an acquired taste For a lowered coupe w/ spec camber I'd go w/ a 9.5 +25 to +30, that will allow you to run more tire.
Glad to hear Ruben is doing his best to take care of his customers, might want to pass it on to the guy on the chat line too
