In the picture taken from the rear, it appears as if the wheel is sticking out well past the tire. Would a 285/30/20 tire eliminate this "sticking out" and keep the wheel inside the tire?

its a 10.5 inch width wheel, yes you can go 285's if you have the convertible.

285'S might be too much tire unless you go 285/25/20
