VPP discount + another $1000 - no...

I'm on VPP D/C and received (as did everyone else) an upgrade to "B" until the end of March which gives 3.58% below invoice as well as any other incentives or loyalty cash that is currently being offered. Last week I received a phone call from Nissan about the VPP plan asking if I had used it yet and offering me an additional $1000. This sounded like I was being offered an additional $1000 above the VPP "B" discount in addition to the other incentives. Several people in this forum as well on Nico forums had received similar phone calls. At the dealer on Saturday they were unaware of any additional $1000.

I called the VPP contact number today to check on the details - there is not another $1000 according to the woman I spoke with above the B level discount. Instead it sounds like the script for the phone call last week became garbled and that the message was supposed to be that upgrade from D/C to B would save me an additional $1000 or so. Its a very nice discount as it stands.

When the Infiniti dealer ran the discount on several cars the process seemed quite automatic with all the discounts applied automatically. On a lease, the dealer has some lee-way with the money factor, the residual is set by Infiniti. Service plans or extended warantees are not covered by the plan and are up for separate negotiation if desired.

yes Infinit is giving phone calls to prospects of the VPP plan but the promotions do vary.

only till the end of March (or when inventory runs out) most people will qualify for the VPP Plan D to jump and get a Plan B discount, which is greater.

Thats all the call really is to help and generate sales for it.

VPP is a set price but yet people are arguing about getting a better incentive from there. The point of VPP is defeated if someone wants to go and try to save $1 more here and there.

Has anyone been able to use dealer cash rebates in conjunction with VPP and any type of loyalty discount for being a repeat infiniti lease customer? Am I asking for too much? (probably)

The lease numbers I was quoted included any loyalty incentives or dealer cash that was listed on the edmunds site. Purchases did as well although the loyalty payments are only available on leases.

As an example - an M35x with an MSRP of 52500 or so had a buy price of $39500 or so based on a VPP discount of $5930 (roughly) and incentives of $7000. The lease on the M35x included the VPP discount of roughly $5930 from MSRP, loyalty of $2000, and an incentive of $2500.

No haggling - it all came through just as my spread sheet predicted using data from edmunds on the incentives and discounts available as well as the VPP discount. There is a bank fee you need to include for leases and the money factor is probably negotiable a little but the residual and the rest were automatic.

I'm just waiting for my wife to decide what she wants.
