vpp offer last night
Hey guys, I'm new here. I went to the infiniti dealership in Raleigh NC yesterday after work, and I was looking at a g37 6MT with prem and navg pkgs. The asking price was $42650, and after VPP discount, it came to $39400 + TTL. I told them I want it for $37500, and the sale person seems aggravated, then the manager came by, but will not lower any more than VPP price, so I left. Do you guys think I can do better than the price they offered? atleast by how much?
They went on and said bunch of BS that they sold 80 cars last month, and 14 last saturday. UGH almost made me want to buy a different brand of car.

that's not that bad of a deal.. they won't budge on vpp pricing, i've tried it...
what's weird is that some dealerships state that it should be a fixed price but other dealerships give me different prices

I purchased mine about a week back and paid 37,250 for 6MT with prem, nav, kickplates, trunk mat and net. I also qualified for 1.9% financing. Here in Chicago they didn't have 0.9%. It was a little over 2k under invoice. I think I got a pretty good deal?

I got almost a grand under invoice for a 08 3 months ago with the vpp, so in my opinion settle for nothing less. If they dont budge be like well I still can get the vpp price ill wait for the 09.
And the dealer himself told me "most people dont know we can go lower than the vpp price" so the dealer is full of bs

next time, don't tell them to quote you vpp. Just ask for 37500 and see what happens. You should be able to get close or at invoice now with the 08s in most states with decent competition.

I didn't realize this was a VPP thread, I didn't use VPP at all. Sorry. I purchased at Infiniti Gold Coast, made an offer of 37,500 thinking they would say no. When they said yes, I countered with 37 flat. I countered my own offer. Ha Ha. We finished at 37,250, plus first oil change on them. This is in downtown Chicago.

I paid $39,300 for my $44,020 msrp and I still think I could have done better, but thats cause I didnt know about the $1000 courtesy rebate for other manufacture owners. I thought it was exclusively for previous infiniti owners.

If you're going to haggle the price, don't bother using VPP, you probably won't fare that well. I got a lil over $1000 below invoice with VPP alone, and since that was last November that was a pretty sweet deal IMO. But blackjack is right, you may be better off haggling for an 08 than using the program.
