VPP and Trade-ins

Looking for some advice...

I have VPP and I want to trade-in my car. I was thinking of going to the dealer and at first not introducing myself as a VPP customer. Then tell them that I'm interested in the G37 but if they don't give me a good price on my trade-in I can't buy today and I'll need time to sell my car privately first. This may give them the incentive to offer me a good price on my trade thinknig they can make it up on the price of the G37. Then I tell them I'm a VPP customer at the time of sell. Do you think this approch will work? Or do you think they will tell me if I use VPP they can't give my the trade offer?

I'm not looking to screw anyone. I just know they try to make money on the trade, so when the hear I'm VPP they will offer me close to nothing.

Thanks.

I don't think trying to work a deal on a trade-in will fly with VPP. Doesn't matter if you wait until the last minute or not. You're betting off selling privately or take it to Carmax and have them cut you a check.

But I'd be curious to see what you can do. Let us know how it goes.
