Your close, this is exact configuration as mine but my price was 300 bucks cheaper for some reason
I made a spreadsheet awhile back to calculate VPP for the car I plan on getting.
Invoice Prices:
Journey 32,184
Sport Pkg 1,595
Premium Pkg 2,757
Nav Pkg 1,896
Total Invoice 38,432
VPP D Plan:
Total Invoice 38,432
Minus 1.65% -634
Plus Dealer options 0
Plus 2.5% 945
Plus Destination Charge 715
Minus incentives 0
Total Purchase Price 39,458
....This might give you an idea of what to expect with VPP

A. The following people qualify as employees under the Vehicle Purchase Program:
* Direct, full-time employees of Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) and Nissan affiliate companies.
* Retirees of NNA and affiliate companies who have received normal, early or disability retirement, and surviving spouses of such retirees.
* Immediate family members of the above people, including spouse, parents, spouse's parents, children (including sons- and daughters-in-law and step children), and siblings (including brothers- and sisters-in-law, half-brothers, half-sisters, step-brothers and step-sisters).
* Participants must reside in the continental United States, Hawaii or Alaska.
Q. Can I transfer my claim number to another person?
A. No. Claim numbers can only be used by the person they are issued to, and the name on the sales contract written at the dealership must match

Didn't they forget to include another bullet in that FAQ?
For NNA and affiliate employee sponsored friends and extended family members, the VPP price is calculated as follows:
C PLAN
* Dealer invoice
* Minus VPP discount (Nissan 2.87% : Infiniti 1.65%)
* Plus dealer added options, Security Plus, Infiniti Extended Protection Plan, etc.
* Plus 2.5% delivery fee of dealer invoice after VPP discount has been subtracted
* Plus destination and handling charge
* Minus applicable incentives
* Equals participant's purchase price
So could a mechanic who works at a Nissan dealership sponsor me for VPP? Sorry, I'm a noob at this stuff.

Yes it appears C & D are the same plan across the board.
On another note, has anyone heard of a "family deal"? My friend didn't tell me the specifics yet, but he said his friend could hook me up with the family deal, whatever that means. I'll probably find out soon enough, but does anyone have a guess on what that may be?

I paid 39,500 with clear bra for a car that MSRP's at 42035. I did not use VPP. Did I get close to the deal they are cutting now with the VPP discount. I don't get how the discount and handling charges work in the discount program.
