I had HKS on my 07z and it pretty much sounds the same on the G! To me it's way too High Pitched and more of a tin can sound I did not like it at all ! I actually ended up trading straight up for Nismo Catback . With Tanabe I have had people tell me it sounds like a maseratti lol it has that thick bass and throaty sound that I love. Tanabe sounds like an ampd up VQ period , retains our stock Exhaust note w a deeper smoother tone, I even think the stock system was not as smooth as this set-up.

Keep in mind this is I phone quality I will break it in and get a good camera after a couple days driving w it. I literally just installed 1 hour b4 videos and the tone will chang because it changed w Mufflers alone after break in as well w mid pipe. I will update this thread this week.

Finally installed my tanabe muffler and Y pipe on sedan, holy crap
It's so quiet in comparison to the ARK Grip. I like it better than my ARK for sure, hopefully they will release a midpipe soon for sedans, I want it just a TINY bit louder. I agree with you though. These are best looking tips hands down.

I've been drooling over tanabe since I heard it on a 4 cylinder mitsubishi lancer. It made that little motor sound nice. It sounds SOOOO much nicer on the VQ!!! Gotta start saving nao!!!

Nice work on the car!

I love the fact that your car is an automatic. You have one of the cleanest G's I've seen so far and it just shows it's really just a personal preference. Oh, and nice exhaust, I'm considering getting one myself!

Yes that is correct! Only this time my Fast Intentions CBE will have the 12 inch resonators on X-Pipe Vs. my previous 18s and also the system have the optional full polish system! i know its not neccesary but hey it will look so shiney underneath. I will be pairing the system with Fast Intentions Resonated HFC as well. I love Tanabe lways will, but after talking w Tony@FastIntentions I just could not resist the switchback.
