I wonder if the exhaust cams are the same size on the VQ35 as the VQ37. You could just use a bigger cam from a VQ35. We should see if GTM would be able to play with this adjustment.

time it takes for the vvel system to achieve max lift

I just bough this car and i've been driving very cautiously. i.e. accelerate gradually and for the most part shift between 2500 and 3000. I just got the oil changed and then went for a drive. I started to accelerate gradually, i switched from first to second and at 2000 rpm i floored until i switched to third gear. I was a little surprised by what I thougt was a lack of power.
my questions:
1 how long does it take for the servo motor to react to throttle inputs and actually increase the lift to its max?

2 during the oil change, is it standard procedure to get the ecu reflashed as a precautionary measure, i did get their propriatery esther oil, nothing was ever mentioned about a reflash by either me or the service rep. I've just read on some other posts about it and i was just curious.

Since the oil change the car seems to be running smoother and without the noticeabl ticking at startup which i though were coming from the lifters but not sure.

So does this mean we will eventually have some type of adjustment? Is this a teaser vid?

I can see a SMALL amount of adjustment coming in the future, but gains would be minimal for the loss in MPG...

Also, the r&d involved to get into the software that does this may cost enough that it may never happen.... Does anyone know if BMW Valvetronic or Porsche variocam is tunable? Those are the only comparable systems, as far as functionality goes.
