Exclamation Ravspec ..horrible experience!

So I purchased a new set of burning black Vsxx for my G35 coupe, I talked to a couple of vendors and went to Ravspec due them being a vendor on the site (both myg37 and g35driver.com) their price was decent but not the lowest I found yet I still went with them since they claim to be the highest volume seller.

-I placed my order the same day I talked with Mark which was around July and the processing time was UP TO 16 weeks.....6 months later... STILL NO wheels, I get that sometimes a vendor cannot help build times etc, yet Mark still claimed to say "Yes they have all of the parts, they should be on the ship this month to come over" (He said this for 3-4 months and never called to followup).
At this point I am frustrated as hell and just ask for a refund, at first he doesn't budge but he told me when I ordered them he doesn't think It will take more than 6 weeks and at this point It was passing 6-7 months. He finally offers to give me a refund, I constantly email and never get a response. He finally responds and claims that he is trying to sell the wheels before he gives me the refund, I am patient and wait another month and a half (Keep in mind he tries to sell the wheels 500-600 more than what I bought them for). It has been so long that I actually even sold my G35 and bought my 2011 G37 Sedan! He finally asks for my Paypal address to issue a refund, its been weeks and I haven't seen any money or heard from him, yet they post on forums everyday!!!! I am getting to the point where I am going to have to turn this into a legal issue.. I am sure others have had a pleasant experience from this vendor, but even if they had great deals I would never do business with them ever again.

done venting...

Wow... I feel bad for you man. I hope you get your refund.
I just had a similar experience as you did though. I purchased a set of DPE wheels from a vendor from another forum called ACG. At first he was really keen at helping me out, and since i wanted to customize my wheels, i specifically called them up just to make sure my spec can be done. And they told me it can be done, and that they have also contacted DPE so they are sure my spec can be done. I sent out my deposit (luckily i have not sent the remaining amount), and after 3 weeks(they told me it takes 5 weeks from order to be done, which is a whole lot of BS) i hardly get any updates, even when i kept emailing him, and its only on the 3rd week that he told me DPE can't do my spec.
I was really pissed, i wanted the refund and long story short, it took me another 3 weeks for me to get my refund, and that is after i sort of threatened him that i will get it in another way since i have been patient enough.
I know how much it sucks to have issues like this man. So hopefully you get your refund. If you have not, then i suggest you find help on forums, pull the legal issue as your last shot. Good Luck.

Sucks to hear man. Sucks how some vendors have to wait until a thread like this comes out before actions are made.

Hope you get ur $$$ back.

Yeah I hate how people make promises to secure a sale and forget about the buyer once they receive their money, not professional at all. Glad you got your money back Twisted, hopefully I wont have to go the legal route.

I purchased a set of CF rear aprons and a roof wing from them and have had nothing but delays and bad service. My roof wing was actually shipped to the wrong person and after waiting two weeks for the CF rear aprons, they tell me that they're back ordered. Ofcourse, they've already withdrawn the money.

Sorry to hear. I have had mixed results with Ravspec. My experience is that if they have something in stock, they are pretty good. If it is special order, or development of a part, good luck....

I put a deposit down on a BlackTop Aero rear (CF) diffuser that was still in development. They stated it would be done in about 3 months, and at 9+ months I finally asked for a refund. I knew 3 months was not reasonable, but they seem to be out of touch with lead times, and it is going to kill them in the long run. It took me about a month of bothering Mark once a week before I finally got a refund after he agreed to do so (there was not any consternation on his part about the refund, but it took a long time to actually get it and communication was **** poor). They ended up finally releasing the diffuser at about 13-14 months. There were some issues with the design, but as far as I am concerned it was a really stupid mistake on their part (i.e. they made the part for a JDM bumper, and it was pretty obvious the bumpers were waaaay different....).

Anyway, good luck. I hope it works out. It is probably one of those things where now that you have bitched and moaned about it they will show up tomorrow..... I personally would not recommend them, but I know some people really have good things to say about them.

Id take legal action already, The thing that would **** me is how they want to sell the wheels before your refund. Thats complete bs man, its your money and you deserve to get it back when you ask for it. But props for having the patience, I could never do that! Plus if they never stated that its non refundable you have a really good case I would think.

maybe mods should ban them until the op gets his refund.
I'm confused, if you used paypal you only have 30 days to file a dispute, unless I'm missing something.?
keep them on blast til you get your$.
this is what gives vendors a bad name, when they jerk people around. Sounds like he got a 7+month loan interest free,& still has all the cash.
very shady.

This is what doesn't make sense to me either, I paid via credit card and he wants to refund me via paypal and I'll end up losing money from fees! I diddnt really care since i'd be at least be getting most of money back but they are STILL lagging on it. I really dont like to bad-mouth people/business's but this is seriously some BS...
