MIAMI G37 Meet April 1 @ Speedway T-n-T
A few fellow MyG37 members along with myself will be hanging out and running out cars on the 1/8th mile track, and we would like to get a big crowd of G37s out there, so anyone is welcome to join!
Where: Homestead/Miami Speedway TNT 1/8 mile track
When: Friday April 1st, 2011 from 6:00pm-Midnight
Who: Open
We will be pre-meeting at the Tomb Thumb gas station on US1 across from The Big Cheese right before the Snapper Creek expressway at 6:00pm then cruising down to the track together.
If anything you can call or text me at 863-399-0726
Hope to meet some new members out there!
Some brief info:
How does Speedway T-n-T differ from “drag racing”?
Speedway T-n-T is designed to allow competitors an opportunity to tune and test their vehicle’s performance in a controlled environment on a 1/8th mile course along pit road.
What kinds of vehicles can run the course at Homestead-Miami Speedway?
Street-legal cars and trucks with valid vehicle registration and driver’s license.
How often do you host Speedway T-n-T?
Speedway T-n-T happens every Friday night from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m./midnight (weather permitting) excluding major event weekends. For questions or information call 305.230.5374.
What is the Speedway T-n-T entry fee?
There is a $20 fee to compete, $15 for Car Show, and $10 to spectate. Children 12 and under are just $5.
How many times will drivers be allowed to run the course?
The entry fee allows for as many runs as possible, based on demand (weather permitting).
Any age restrictions on Speedway T-n-T?
No one under 18 will be allowed to compete during the Speedway T-n-T.
Any equipment/wardrobe requirements?
Competitors must wear sleeved shirts, pants and closed-toed shoes (no shorts, tank tops, sandals, etc.).
What else should attendees know in advance?
1) Cars may not run air conditioning during competition (to avoid a/c water drips)
2) Rid trunk of loose items
3) Windows rolled up
4) Seat belts worn at all times
5) No passengers in vehicle
6) Participants are not allowed to consume alcohol
7) Valid vehicle registration and driver’s license
8) Convertible vehicles require drivers to wear a helmet
9) Street legal cars ONLY allowed to participate
10) Participating cars sound restriction: 103 d.B. or less
11) No Slicks (DOT/street legal slicks allowed)
Are spectators welcome? If so, from where can they watch the action?
From a bird’s-eye view of premium elevated Pit Road Cabanas overlooking the 1/8th-mile course.
Is there a timing system in place for Speedway T-n-T at Homestead-Miami?
Homestead-Miami Speedway has installed a new "christmas tree" starting device and a laser timing system which allows competitors to receive real-time performance results. HMS officials are reviewing the potential of incorporating a timing scoreboard with more results of that review to follow.
Are concessions available?
The Paddock Cafe is open every Friday night to purchase food and beverage (burgers, hot dogs, chips, candy, soda, etc.).

^^ LOL!! Hey Guys, I was test fitting my replacement rim this morning(And this ones offset finally fits perfect like other side yaaaaayyy!!) and I saw my neighbor a good old friend from school and he told me that the TNT track sucks a$$ for grip. You need to go check out "County Line Drag Strip". So he told me its a little less distance than the TNT track and it packs in big time and is open not only on Fridays, but Saturdays too. So maybe one day we go check that out.

Yea we will definitely check that out because it's only 10 mins from my house!
But TNT looks like a lot more fun and better atmosphere.
