Went to the dealer today, they said my ecu wouldnt accept the update so they have to replace the ecu under warranty. Asked them about using the consult3 + cable since i have the previous tsb -075 updated already and they said they did that but it still wouldnt update.

Anyone have this issue happen to them? This is on a g37s coupe 2010

I took my car in for the update and the service receipt only says
TCM / ECM updated per TSB for lag hesitation DX32AA .8

So looking at the TSB it looks like the code but this is the same code for all the updates going back to 075a how do you know which version firmware the dealer has?

New poster here and I want to thank everyone on this forum for this TSB help!

Took my car last week to Beshoff Infiniti (in San Jose) and told them about the harsh downshift when I slow down that I've been experiencing for over 2 years. I printed a copy of the TSB from this forum, but I didn't end up using it as the dealer was happy to oblige. The dealer updated the TCM and ECM, but they didn't tell me which version number they used. No matter, as the car drives much better now and didn't have that annoying shudder when the transmission shifts down when stopping. Very happy to come across this forum!

Going to take my car in at some point and try to get this done. I bought my car used (not CPO--gave up on finding a CPO with the sport package), so I will have to figure out which dealer in the area is the best for this sort of thing.

Anyone have this done in DFW?

I recently bought 2010 g37x sedan with 68k miles, do u think I should go to the dealer for this, to me the shifts fine, and I have no clue if the car was updated or not. Also I never really drove a g37 before or a automatic , I'm use to my 5 speed integra I had before

Any ideas on what I should do?

If it shifts fine, or to your liking, leave it be. Why update something that is not broke?

Took my 2009 G37X in for the TCM and ECM update finally and it has really improved the 2 to 1 downshift, barely notice it now. Before it was like I stepped on the break too hard every time I came to a slow stop. Upshifts have moderately improved too.

I told the service manager that I was having hard downshifts from 2nd to 1st gear, some lag in upshifts, and found this TSB online that described what I was experiencing. I asked him to look into it and handed him the first two pages of the TSB that I printed out.

There were no problems at all getting this done and it was covered under my extended warranty.

I had the complete opposite situation occur yesterday at my local Nissan dealership. I printed out the TSB brought it in, and not only were they not able to find the update (they kept suggesting 5AT updates and how they don't apply) but they also said "if it were my car, I would rather the car do hard downshifts versus no downshifts" . I just stared blankly at the service manager and couldn't understand what they were saying.

Needless to say I will have to take the 1 hour drive to the nearest infiniti dealership and get this figured out. I'm also going to file a complaint with Nissan...took them 3 hours to tell me that there's no update and that it's not necessary regardless.

They don;t "find" the update from the paper you handed them.
They hook your ECU to the Consult II+ system, and it reports back with updates from you VIN, and ECU, and TCU firmware revisions.

No, I understand that. I simply brought the paper to show them what to look for. They couldn't find the update, but did print out some TSB for the 5AT...didn't seem to me like they knew what was going on anyways.

I got a new 12 G sedan and I am still occasionally feeling these lags when braking then accelerating. I brought it into Infiniti and they said there was no "Diagnostic Trouble Code" and the car has the newest update. Anyone else having this problem?

Does anyone know if the ITB12-027D as applied to 2011 G37 Sedan is affected by the Adaptive Driving System. I had it applied a few months back. Car was fine at first, but now it seems to have gone back to its old bad habits. Up shifts too quickly and would not down shift in time. Hesitation from rolling stop seems to be fixed though, so is the rough down shift.
Reading the ITB I got the impression that it would not be affected by the Adaptive Drive System. Could be wrong.
Asked a couple of dealer, they did not know.
Thanks

I've had two updates done to mine and each time it felt good for awhile, then reverted back to the same problems as before. Now its even worse than ever...it upshifts too soon and lugs, it doesn't downshift properly, it flairs up between some shifts, and a couple of times it has slippped so much when shifting that the engine revved up and it slammed into gear so hard it felt like someone rearended my car.
I took it in last week to have something done about it again...today they called and said it is operating normally and the lag after decelerating and then accelerating is normal operation.
Interesting thing is I drove mine for a year before I got any symptoms and then it's been worse and more frequent since the two updates.
