Just got my update.
First things first, lag is GONE!!
Rev matching in D mode is all but gone.
Rev matching in DS mode is a lot tamer, it no longer over-revs when braking,
Manual shifting still a slight delay on upshifts.
Shift firmness has NOT changed.
BTW, I removed my UpRev tune before having this done, and tested it without UpRev.
Waiting to hear from UpRev to see if its safe to reflash.

My new ECM number is not on the Uprev support matrix, waiting for a response from Uprev.

Got mine done on Saturday and logged only about 150 miles so far. But I really like it, feels close to the 2012 loaner i had for 3.5 days. smoother upshifts, feels lighter, no lag (well, the normal AT lag is there, but that's being an AT). i can feel all 269/328 now...we'll see if it stays that way, but so far it's like having a new car again.
According to my Service guy, the update is applicable to all 09-11. So don't let them give you the run around. if they don't want to update it, go to another dealer. If you're in SoCal, Infiniti South Bay is where I go and they never give me sh*t about my mods, from coils to exhaust to HPS tubes - nada. Ask for Hans Rico...

Thanks for posting this. I had my car in the shop back in April this year and of course they couldn't fix the problem. My car is suferring the symptoms that this fix is designed to solve. My car goes to the shop tomorrow morning.

Just had my 2011 G37xS Coup updated with this fix yesterday. I printed off the post from this forum with the details and handed it to the service advisor. It feels like a whole new car now. Much improved shifting and throttle response. No lag whatsoever. Up****s and downshifts are like butter. i am very happy...Thanks forum members!

Went to Specialty Z. Sebastian dumped the new ROM, sent it in to UpRev for cracking.
I initially was going to have UpRev crack the ROM, then I would have transferred map numbers to the new one, but I now want Specialty Z to start from scratch, new full custom tune!!

I'd definitely impressed with the quality of the two updates I had installed today at the dealership. One was an update for the TCM, and the other for the ECU. The first post of this thread is consistent with my result.

I'm picking up my car in 3 hours with this update done.
I have grouding wires too, maybe it will make my shifts even faster? lol
Will comment more after I put some spirited miles on it

Everyone,
who had canceled update by service, look at -027.PDF file.
Steps should done by service:
A. Find the ECM or TCM Part Number and write it on the repair order.
(your firmware number should be in your repair order, if not, request to repeat this service as follow on process not according to service bulletin... should be 2 numbers for ECM (engine) and TCM (transmission) )
then look at table in pdf page 5:
If there is a match, this bulletin applies. If there is not a match, reprogramming does not apply. Make sure to check both ECM and TCM for a match.
having numbers on the service order that match with the table and denied update - a reason to think ...
also:
If you get this screen and it is blank (no reprogramming listed), it means there is no reprogramming
available for this vehicle. - weird statement from bulletin ....

Can anyone clarify if not getting the updates cause damage to the tranny?
I plan on getting them done, just wondering if the 39k miles without these updates could have caused any damage. The car drives and feels fine with the exception of the hard downshifts
