Where's everyone finding a good replacement battery? Are you going Optima red/yellow at all? If so which series. My battery goes dead every winter w/ storage...and est life on a batter is 4-5 years. It ISSS time for a new one...

I just found this thread, taking my 2009 sedan in tomorrow for this very thing. Battery getting weaker. Service adviser said it may apply to my car.... but the TSB is plainly for a Coupe!

They did replace the sensor and battery under ITB10-010C. Also replaced plastic around the instrument panel.

They said the replacement battery is bigger and had more CCA but I haven't looked at it yet.

I like getting a new battery in my 2.5 year old car.

They generally replace the battery with the one from the M which does have greater CCA. They did that with mine as well.

I've replaced the OEM with this one and so far it's lasted longer than the OEM did. Still going strong, too.

I had an Optima red in a previous vehicle that's still going strong at nearly 10 years old, but i hear the quality on those have gone down quite a bit since so i skipped it and went with Duralast Gold.

Infiniti covered 100% of my 3.5 year old battery from my 2008 G37S Coupe. I had battery loss issues twice in the past 2 months so I made a service appointment at the dealership. They reprogrammed engine control module - ECM - gave me a new battery and replaced the evap. canister vent control valve from the old thin tubular shape to a new thicker bulkier one. Everything was covered under warranty so I didn't pay a dime. The new battery looks bigger to me and has 675 cold cranking Amps...

I just had my battery replaced yesterday, no cost to me. Car is 1 1/2 year old, with 35,000km. No pro-rate, nothing, just new battery installed and drove off.

Yep I got it jumped and went to autozone picked up the duralast gold top for the M45's is slightly larger and $10 cheaper than the ones for G37's
I still want to check with Infiniti if i have a voltage leak though just incase.

indyn - the dealership is Tony Graham Infiniti in Ottawa. I am still under warranty since I only have 60,000km on my 2008 G37S. I had some crazy things happen to my car - first it was the battery issues above - which were fixed according to TSB with a new batt. and a new VCV and new software - then I had a issues with push-button start in that the engine turns over but vehicle will not catch and required me to depress accelerator on start up to keep vehicle running - they attempted the idle air learn and that didn't work - I supplied the dealership with videos to show symptoms to the tech when the issues were occuring and they were occurring when the vehicle was warm. I also noted the rpms drop down to almost stalling when slowing down quickly even though the vehicle recovered itself in this situation I found it odd - so they inspected it again, there were no codes and they spoke with Infiniti Canada who recommended a "fuel purge" service and then redue idle air learn so they did this and it cleaned the airflow meters O2 sensors - cleaned the entire fuel system, removed the carbon build-up from the throttle body, air intake, fuel injectors and combustion chamber and lo and behold it worked!!! The car drives like new! I got an Ester-oil change done at the same time and this plus the fuel purge + tax cost me about $300. Anyways TG Infiniti is a fantastic dealership - they always treat me great!

yah Loki, TG is good dealership. I go their for servicing as well. But you had some strange issues. My car wouldn't crank up over the winter, and the fault was Infiniti battery. They recommended I change the battery but that was not covered under warranty. Replaced it and works like a charm, btw I still have the old style evap but the ecu is latest.

Hmmm, interesting it wasn't covered - but I guess it would depend on a bunch of flow charts within the technical service bulletin that would determine if it was indeed covered. From my understanding, it has to map exactly to the flow chart in order for them to replace it under warranty. How certain are you that you have the old VCV (vent control valve)? Not all of the model years have the old one. But apparently it was this VCV that was draining the battery and therefore it was replaced under warranty. It sucks to have these little nits to have to deal with when you spend good money for an Infiniti and consumer reports rates it top notch for like 3 years in a row... I never had these issues with my 2001 Accord...and with 200,000km I was still on my original battery... but I still love my G37...
