dealership wont touch my car!

I just purchased a VR g37s about 3 weeks ago. everything worked fine and had no issues. then last week the cruise stopped working. Took it into the dealer. they gave me a loaner then called me 3hrs later and said the previous owner had an aftermarket alarm and they wouldnt touch anything electrical. And now im having the dead battery issue almost every morning too (4days in a row now)
Any suggestions???

Tell them to prove that the aftermarket alarm is causing the issues. Otherwise, whatever they say holds no weight.

I can't stand dealers like this. "Oh you have an aftermarket exhaust? Yea that's what's causing your *insert proven TSB here*".

Once you have an alarm installed you're dealing with splicing electrical wires which can cause a whole plethora of issues. Whoever installed the alarm could have spliced into the cruise control sensor wire on accident. I don't think the stealership is at fault, and I don't normally say that.

Did you purchase the car private party?

I love my dealer! I was there today and told them that I was installing my BC coils next week and if they could/ would still work on it. They were like HA! we have 20 cars a week come in here that we have to spend 3 hours getting on the lift because they are on the ground

Depends on what you're warrantying. Springs really aren't going to negatively effect the car, except they'll put a toll on your stock struts. There has been people running the Eibach for a few years now without any issues. I'd say do it.

Once you've had someone splice into your factory electrical wiring, it's going to be tough to get a dealership to work on anything electrical in your car.

i live in jacksonville,fl only 1 infiniti here in town. next closest is on orlando abour 2.5 hrs away. they service guywas a jackass. they actually resurfaced my rotors and detailed the car for me. but when i picked it up the exterior was COVERED in grass and dirt. the service writer who handed me the keys back said "we washed it but they came and cut the grass" then literally just walked off. i called infiniti and they told me if i can get the aftermarket alarm removed (wich i dont even have anything for) they will warranty the electrical again

^ Check around with a few Infiniti dealers in your area, my dealership installed my Eibachs for me and will warranty anything they can as long as they do the aftermarket work.

OP, I am sorry man, that is a tough spot to be in, sounds like a problem most dealerships may have an issue with and it is in no way your fault. It does sound like a ****ty dealer though too so I hope they will eventually work something out with you.

At least National is willing to work with you. Contact a certified audio specialist around your area and see if they install alarms. Make sure you check their credentials online to see if they're reputable.
