Airbag TSB

Well this should be coming out pretty soon, in terms of the notices going in the mail. I've noticed my Airbag off light does not come on even when nobody's in the seat. According to Infiniti customer service, this is a sign that my seat will require a recall. Anyone else noticing a lack of the Airbag turning off when no one's there. I didn't catch on until I had the rental G35 and saw that orange light, and tought to myself, odd I've never seen that in my car. Got the car back and sure enough it doesn't turn on, indicating my airbag is disabled. So looks like come Nov. I should get a notice to come on in.

Woah... Airbag issues are kinda scary. I'll have to check and see if mine appears to be working properly. Thanks for the heads up.

Well the issue is the believe in a front end accident, It won't deploy the passenger airbag.
I don't think anyone has to worry about Airbags just deploying at random. It's not the 80's anymore where hot temps could deploy the bag. (Only reason I know this is because some (older) insurance policies still have a clause for repacking faulty airbags, so insured don't have to use their full ded. and it's pretty expensive to repack an airbag.)
