Actual M56 owners feedback.
Hey I paid off my 08 G37S in march of 09 and I need a family sedan now because some of my family relatives are living with me in my house and I need a sedan for the weekend. I also want to stay in the Nissan/Infiniti family but I am keeping my options open.
Quick question to M owners.
1) Is the interior quality the same as the G37 like in rattles and a lot of plastic everywhere or is the interior strong like BMW, and Audi?
2) Is the ride comfortable for long distance (hour or more)?
Anything feedback would be nice. Also I am planning on test driving one when I get back to the States.

beauty is really in the eye of the beholder. the G37 has the best looks bar none I think. the M has stunning lines and the interior quality is incredible. In terms of build quality the M is a generation ahead: less plastic, softer plush leather, strong lines. very aggressive styling inside. (S class style interior)
I mean definitely give a serious look when you come back I think if you're going to spend that kind of money. unfortunately loyalty can only go so far when you are willing to pay but only if you're getting the car you think is worth the 62k you're going to be paying. but it's def a beautiful car. It got me thinking of a few things. I can't wait to see an M56 roll in. It's going to be a beast. I don't think any dealers have any yet (the m37 yes, but not the m56), but I could be wrong.

I will update my progress.

I think an M56X would be an awesome sedan, although pricey compared to a G.
The outside is much better looking than my M35 was and now you can get HUGE power.
I think it is a killer sedan and MUCH cheaper than M5/S4/E550/etc.

It is stock expect for the suspension. I'm planning on doing a lot it when I get back and nope don't want a maxi. I would get the M5 but its much money for it. I was gonna spend 60-65k max.

i sat in an m56 at the torrance dealership last week. definately a nice car and i can only imagine what it would feel like driving all 420hp and 417lb ft of it.
However, for 62K, i seriously doubt i'd buy that over something else...like say, the new 550 which comes out this summer, new E Class, or for sport, the M3.

I checked out the M56 when I bought my G, and its an amazing car, But when you cross 55k, the badge starts to matter as much as the car - all the luxury and features are pretty much comparable at this level.

the tons of new features available in the M56 make it really impressive. I have my client trading in his CLS550 for a M56 sport. The semi-analine leather is the softest in the whole auto industry and for $69k the price point is perfect. when you come back and drive the new M it's a more comfortable drive and no rattles at all. It's a huge improvement over the previous M

LOL I just realized the M56S and M56x are $85,000 cars in Canada.
It seems to be priced within the same context as the US M56S as it's a few hundred dollars more than a fully loaded MB E550 and a couple of thousand more than a fully loaded BMW 550i.
