Lights look like acura RL. No 5.0 V8????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kenny, are we in for a dissapointment? The 4.5 is just not as competetive as it once was.

I was really hoping the M50 would be my next car...

I have a feeling you won't be in for a disappointment. Kenny has already stated that Infiniti is going in a "faster" direction. Plus there are some options that Infiniti has but are keeping very quiet. The powerplant from the essence is one of them. There is absolutely a reason why they've only talked of the engine but they haven't gone into detail or shown it to anyone.

Tomorrow will be here soon.

Infiniti does not have a problem making their cars fast. It's their true essence. I just hope this design looks good for those times it's moving slow.

Yeah everyone has been saying 5.0L V8 for a while. The post in this thread was the first time I saw someone saying otherwise. I guess we'll see tomorrow.

You may be right after all I just like the fact that we'll have some choice. A hybrid which will probably put out just as much power as the V8. Plus the torque, when in hybrid "mode", will be pretty darn good

Yeah Lexus did that with the GS. There's the GS350 (V6), GS460 (V8), and the GS450h (V6 + electrical motor hybrid).

That looks like an LED strip on top of the headlight.

Yeah. I wonder if they are going with BMW "Angel Eyes" or Audi "Devil Eyes" theme. Keep in mind Infiniti had the LED strip on the fuga concept which predated what Audi did. They just didn't implement it on the production version.

Ye but lexus combined the hybrid drive with a CVT which kills the car performance wise. I hope infiniti does nto go that route, as we all know nissan loves CVTs

BTW, could this be it?

Hmm, that's quite possible. There seems to be a strip above and below the headlight assembly.

I saw that photo back in March right after the Essence unveiling. I dismissed it at the time but I think that might have been an early draft. It has the same "curve" in the C pillar as the Essence and it seems to have the same complex curvature around the headlights as the teaser shot. However, the grille seems to be more vertical in the teaser shots and in the March image the grille seems to be more angled. Who knows, maybe I'm completely wrong here.

edit - now that I look at it more, I don't know. It doesn't seem to have the "waveform" hood like the current Infiniti's do and that seems to be one of their main styling cues. Now I'm beginning to think that's not it.
