Rip fx 35

This FX 35 did an amazing job in protecting my mom and my niece. Mom was sitting still and a guy rear-ended her going 50 MPH the police estimated. The impact pushed her from an access road in the middle of I-35 and somehow she made it back on the shoulder with the rear fender stuck in the rear tire. Mom has a bruise on her forehead from the steering wheel and overall is sore but the ER visit showed no other injuries. My niece was fine but very scared. She had to have glass pulled from her hair as the back window shattered. RIP FX 35, you will be missed!

This car was a 2005 model with 34,000 miles. Went to the shop 2 times for minor warranty items. It not only was an excellent worry free car but a safe one. More evidence that Infiniti's are great cars to own and drive.

Sorry to hear that and I'm glad nobody go hurt. I too, had my Jeep Grand Cherokee totaled the same way.

Wear you seatbelt and survive.

Yeah, I was amazed she was not hurt worse. She is almost 70 and has a bad back to begin with. She probably will feel worse tomorrow but at least she went home tonight. Seat belts definitely helped, too.

Scared the crap out of me when my brother called and said she had been in a wreck.

your mother and your niece most CERTAINLY have some sort of level of whiplash. you should go to a good chiropractor to check it out. it's a win-win! i got rear ended by a sheriff of all people - i got free massages out of the deal although...i really did need it for whiplash. good luck! glad there were no serious injuries!!

Thanks everyone for the comments. When I left Mom's house, she was tired and sore but happy to be home and not at the hospital and ready to crash. She and my niece were both examined and no injuries could be found on either one. The docs did say both of them, especially my mom, would be feeling it tomorrow morning, though.

Oh, and I wish that would buff out! I loved that car of hers. That car is what got me interested in a G to begin with. As soon as I drove it for the first time and felt the acceleration and heard that exhaust note, I was sold. Back in 2005, no one made anything quite like it.

I still think the FX is by far the coolest crossover on the market in that price range. When you hear one coming, you know it is either a Z, a G, or an FX. Love the sound of these cars.

What is even worse, the guy's insurance expired on February 20th according to his paperwork! Plus, he hit my mom so hard that she hit the woman in front of her who was also stopped. The woman in front of her had a brand new Altima with a paper tag. It was only 4 days old. It was not totaled but it will need a bumper and trunk lid. We are not sure what this idiot was doing but he certainly wasn't driving.

We still are not sure if the guy had insurance or not. The police took the report and we will figure it out tomorrow. The police also made sure they had all of this guy's info they could get and even visited my mom in the ER waiting room to make sure she was OK. At least my mom has uninsured motorist coverage so she will be covered one way or another.

Sad to see the FX like that, but very glad to hear that your family is okay.

We have the same year, an 05 OB with about 60k miles on it.
