Remote starter/alarm installed on FX50S

Just got a titan starter/alarm installed with the optional text to start modual. It rocks. the FX will text me if the alarm goes off, if there is an intruder alert, and f the batt is low or has been disconnected. Can text to start it from anywhere with cell service. Heck i was just traveling back to work in Russia. and was spending the night in Korea I was asleep and then my phone work me up. It was an intruder alert. I was like cool this thing is neat. It turned out just to be the wife forgetting to disarm the alarm before opening the trunk. But I still thought it was cool.

Everything works fine so far. only a small issue with the seats. to get tit to go back to the original position if you use the auto exit feature you have to get in press the ON buttone once to ACC wait for the seat wheel and mirrors to adjust and then hit it again to get control of the car. However the preset buttons 1/2 will not work. it will only go back to the position it was originally in. I also get a text on my nacv screen saying the the OBDII computer is still hooked up and to disconnect it. but that goes away in literally 1 sec.

Thats pretty cool, still want to get remote start in the G...

sorry to get off topic but...

How has that 50 treating you (living up to the power you expected from it? , and how has the mileage been with all that power?)

Have you had any friendly encounters with jeep srt8s or RangeRover Sports?

Last but certainly not least have you found much aftermarket support for that beast yet?

Congrats man... though I was a little iffy on the new look at first, it has grown on me so much and I LOVE the interior of it

the same starter will work for the G.

Love the 50. needs a better exhaust though. way too quiet. Tony at FI is suposed to be working on one.

This thing devowers RR sports. I know I have done it. Not had a chance to see what it will do to a jeep yet though.

Milage is about 12l/100km when the wife drives it back and forth to work. (alot less when i drive it)

Aftermarket support is bad really really bad. I got interior LED's. lol
GT spec is making a tower bar or so they tell me. And if tony stops making exhausts for the 370z and finishes the LTH for our cars He is starting on an exhaust for the FX. Other than that aftermarket is SLOW.

price for starter and text madual installed was 1000. I got the alarm for free as they installed the wrong modual and after taking 1.5 days to install it they were not going to remove it. So free is good. The text to start cost $10/month for the cell service. They quoted me the same price for the G. only gotit for the FX because the wife needs it when she is at work. They install guys at certified car radio said the FX install was way harder then the g37 ones they had done.

According to some quick wikipedia reading thats about 18mpg (sound about right?) What type of driving is it that she is achieving that? 50/50 city/highway or more along the lines of 30 city/70 highway?

if that is a fair amount of city, I am pretty impressed, the jeeps mileage is terrible, which is to be expected when messing around but highway the sales man told me I would be lucky to see 15mpg babying it.

Did you consider anything else before you bought the 50, if so what steered you towards it?

I am really sorry for all the questions, just trying to figure out if the extra $20 grand over the jeep is worth it...

never considered the jeep i stay away domestics. interiors are too cheap. Looked at the RR sport and the BMW X6 tried to look at the audi Q7 but the dealers would not even talk to me so after asking for assistance and not getting any i went to the generalmanagers office and told him I would now never be interested in buying a audi from him and left.. RR sport was off the list pretty fast. talk to alot of guys that owened them and they were always breaking down. And expencive to fix. X6 was very nice but lacked the tech the FX had. but man does it have *****. i just talkted to the wife and she said she has the FX down to 11l/100km. she does mostly hi way driving but she does not reset the calculator after I have been driving it so I am going to say it is better then that too. Speed wise not sure what is better the jeep or FX as i never drove the jeep. but the fx50S is a monster. it will give my G a run forits money. And once mods start to happen watch out. will be faster then the G. Well until i SCthe G this May coming.
