2010 FX Hybrid and FX50 with 490 HP!!

An Infiniti FX50 Sport is expected in early 2010. It will have the same 5.0 liter V8 engine found in the Infiniti FX50, though instead of reaching 60mph in 5.5 seconds and having 390 horsepower (competing with the Porsche Cayenne GTS), it will get to 60mph in just 5.0 seconds with 490 horsepower under the hood. The FX50 Sport will compete with the Porsche Cayenne Turbo and the slightly quicker Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG.

An Infiniti FX30 Hybrid is in consideration for mid-2010. It will have a 3.0 liter V6 engine with 220 horsepower. The FX30 Hybrid will have a cylinder deactivation system, shutting off two of the car's cylinders when not needed for operation. The FX30 will reach 60mph in about eight seconds, and will reach as high as 21mpg city and 28mpg highway. A sportier Infiniti FX40 Hybrid is also in consideration, with a 4.0 liter V6 engine producing 270 horsepower. However FX40 Hybrid will reach 60mph in about 6.8 seconds and get 19mpg city and 25mpg highway.

I'm hoping this is true. Cause I'm pretty sure Infiniti could get more HP out of that 5.0 Liter V8 than just 390HP

No way. Infiniti is being smart, they are slowly building up their line. Creating a performance vehicle like that would to be too agressive. With the current economic and fuel situation they won't do it. They've already cancelled the Infiniti-GTR vehicle and might cancel the Q replacement too.

If anything they'll do what Lexus did and introduce a performance line into the G and M series first.

Isn't there already a "sport" option for the FX50. When my dad was looking at SUV's at the end of last year I swear we looked at one.

What happened to the tailights? They look different like clear or something.

And yeah there is an FX50s. It's really hot. I've seen two on the expressway in traffic jam already. They looks alot better in person!

probably not once you add in the extra added weight of the FX. The FX probably turns out to be about the same if not a tick slower in straight line acceleration.
