I just traded in my '06 coupe (had it for 15 months) for an '06 fx45. They were trying to get rid of it so I got 11K off MSRP, a deal I couldn't pass up. If you're not going to mod, there's no question, get the 45. Its barely a half step slower than my 6MT coupe, and the extra space and AWD is definitely worth it. I had an FX35 rental for about a week while I was waiting on my coupe and just thought it didn't have enough power. I kept thinking I needed something bigger and more useful, and drove the fx35 a couple of times but it never did it for me. One drive in the 45 plus the killer deal and I was sold. It does guzzle gas around town, I get about 13 driving aggressively, but its not so bad on the freeway, especially if you're conservative. My girlfriend actually gets 19-20 when she takes over on long trips.

Autumn copper on brick, and just washed her today. I'll get some pics up tomorrow.

I've done all of the easy mods to my 35: Cat Back, +2, CAI, plenum spacer, intake, soon adding lighter wheels. I've had some decent timed 0 to 60 runs 6.6 to 6.7 when the weather's cold, but the fact is if I see a 45 in my rear view I flinch.

The 45 will drink gas but truth be told so will the 35. When I purchased my 35 there was about a $10 to 12K difference in price so I'm happy with my decision. But given the deals that are out there now and knowing what I now know I believe I might just pick the 45.

The only thing holding me back is I've had a ball modding my 35 and I always have the option of going FI. So.....

If you're not going to mod do the 45. If you're even halfway thinking about doing FI...... you've got a tough decision on your hands

Damn right you flinch! I haven't timed mine yet but I've seen 0-60 quoted anywhere from 5.9-6.5 for stock FX45. She does feel quick though, even compared to my coupe.

I started a new thread with some pics. Check her out.
