While searching for iforged reviews, I found this tidbit:

"Don't drive in the rain in them, they collect water in the center and throw off you balance. You can't drive above 55-65mph in the rain. "

Does anyone have more info on this? Seems like a serious design flaw. I like the wheels and was hoping to get them when the 09s are introduced.

This occurrence is not specific to iFORGED wheels, it happens with any reverse lip wheel (a wheel with a flat outer lip).

The only way to make that flat lip on multipiece wheels is to put the "drop center" behind the face. Other wise the outer lip would have a step or bump right in the middle. So that can accumulate water.

Some people experience it, some don't. I drove my car in a downpour 2 weeks ago and had no shaking. I have iFORGED Wheels, FYI

That being said, iFORGED has created a water diverter system that goes on the inside of the wheel and clears the water.

So have they eliminated this problem? Is this for their entire line of wheels? Is there anything special a tire installer would have to know? Thanks for your responses.

The diverter works on all wheels. We have a customer that will be installing the system within the next week and giving real world findings.

The diverter system comes with instructions.

Are the instructions simple enough that I could depend on most tire places to install it correctly? Thanks and I'm sure there are many of us that are interested in hearing about the future findings.
