i know that dealerships will frown on something like this, but are these cats legal. can the cats pass for emission inspection. im more likely to have my inspections at the dealer since the state inspec. is free, and emission is cheap.

Dealers will frown on every aftermarket add ons. These are 49 state legal and It has been said that they do pass the sniffer test... I dont have a clue what that is (live in TN) but I am just repeating what I have read...

My dealer thought it was so cool they all came out to see it; they said mine is the first they have seen moded in Tucson. They also said they have a good size group of customers that have moded 35s and they support as much warrantee as they possibly can.
I guess I'll find out the first time I have to take it in for a warrantee repair that might be questionable due to a mod

Yeah, I think so. They adjusted my headlights and then showed me how to do it, after I lowered it. They had no problem doing it for me even though the only reason the headlight adjustment was needede because of the lowering springs. Like I said, I’ll see how they act with a high dollar repair that could be in the gray area.

Dealerships get paid to do factory warranty maintanence, it's in their interest to do it....
It depends on how close their relationship with Nissan is, and closely Nissan monitors their work, and what Nissan's policies on aftermarket parts are. If Nissan strongly frowns on certain aftermarket pieces, and the dealer knows Nissan can/might/will find out about the work, then the dealer probably won't risk not getting paid by Nissan for the warranty work.
But, if it's a small family-owned dealer....you might be in luck Alot of times it just comes down to who your particular Service Writer is.

Any chance that you'll be coming out with a cat-back exhaust or headers for our application soon? If not, are there any that you'd recommend or recommend avoiding (this can be answered via PM to avoid the appearance of bashing vendors or starting a flame war)?
