You guys did read from the vendor that the price for materials did increase? They honored the price for people who ordered before the price increase was announced. They posted that the price would increase for any new order and changed the price. If you snooze you lose. It is still a good deal but the company still needs to sell things at a profit. Stop looking for a free handout and order the part at the $30 increase or look elsewhere for a better deal.

Well... The reason for the price increase is laid out pretty plainly. It's an increase in parts costs for Berk, which has to be passed on to the customer just like any other product on the market. For the quality of the part, the ease of communication with the vendor, and the dyno-proven results, I'd say these are a deal at $420 or $450.

If I was in what is essentially 'round 2' of the group buy, i'd just be bummed about the wait time. What difference is $30? 30 days would matter more to me.

Plus the vendor did give a heads up... I've bought plenty of parts before, then waited, and waited, and waited, then finally gotten ahold of the vendor to find out about a price increase that had been charged to my card in addition to the original price and the delivery date was to be determined.

Any of you guys work in commodities trading?

Even if I were to increase my orders 10 fold from December 2007, I would still be paying more for steel, copper, nickel, fuel, etc. We operate lean on lower margins. So when the LME is showing record high spot prices for nickel, I see my stainless steel sheet prices go up 3 days later.

90% of that price hike is from the catalytic converters. The Maganaflow cats are by far the bulk of the cost of the system, and that price hike is what we need to respond to.

And to Nemesis (how fitting ), if we were charging $640 for a set of HFC's (FI), or $450 EACH (Random), I would be glad to absorb material increases all day long. But when we are charging 30-50% less, for the same cats, same flanges, same tube, etc. there is just no wiggle room.

Our prices for 03-06 350Z/G35 HFC's are going up as well. Those parts have nothing to do with this myG37.com GB, and haven't had any GB's since August 2007. Still think it's made up?
