Yes, it is a clear PVC which completely covers the buttons, and thin enough to push the buttons through.

Sorry, no other colors are available. The volume just isn't high enough to warrant stocking multiple colors.

Not sure I see the point in this.. is it just for vanity?
I've had my M keys for nearly 2 years without a scratch on either one of them. One even went through the washing machine without any problems (although it did come out a bit shinier).
