Independent shops in Riverside/Irvine

I live in Riverside and work in Irvine. I'm looking for a trusted and an affordable independent shop in these areas. Any recommendation? An Infiniti/Nissan specialist would be nice. I just don't want to pay dealer's hourly rate for simple maintenance or service.

Thanks guys!

Try corner3 garage they specialize in z and g's. Pretty nice group of mechanics that actually care about your car. Brought my car there to get my sway bars installed and they pointed out that my undertray was missing a few of the retaining bolts. Funny that I only had one oil change from the dealership with my odometer at that point being 2300.

Thanks godzilla. They looks solid. Unfortunately they are a bit far (18 miles) from my office but I'll try them when I have a chance. Any other shops close to 92606 (Irvine) or 92505 (Riverside)?

+1 for Corner3.

Pretty sure Amplified Motorsport is too far for you, but a great group of guys there as well.

Oh and I used to live in the 92505 area code too, not very many decent shops in the IE man. Where exactly do you live? Might have seen you around haha

But, why wouldn't you go to Riverside Infiniti?

I live in Montecito complex in Riverwalk.

Infiniti Tustin is the most convenient dealer for me and I'm ok with their service. I paid $280 for minor maintenance. I'm just looking for cheaper independent shops for regular maintenance. How much usually do you guys pay for maintenance at the dealer or at the independent shop. Is the saving worth it?

+1 on corner 3 garage!

Steve who is the master tech there, used to be a Nissan Master Tech for many years before he opened up his own shop.. He is very knowledgeable with our cars. and he's Korean which makes me feel at home LOL He and Nima will go out of their way to take care of their customers. I do my routine oil changes there, and did my 30k service. They use genuine Nissan parts/fluids except for the diff fluid (they use Kendall). Their price isn't the cheapest around.. but pretty reasonable for the peace of mind you get from them.

Also I've heard good things about Hiro's in Costa Mesa. They also specialize in imports. It's a japanese shop, so you gotta believe they know their cars well.

Hiro's always quotes me ridiculous prices. I asked for installation for coilovers, and they quoted $400. It wasn't the first time too. Crazy!

Yet, he's still in business. He must be doing something very right, or very wrong.

Definitely Corner3Garage.

Check out all their reviews on Yelp. They must be doing something right for an overall solid 5 stars.
