Its a regular Greddy Ti-C exhaust. I am guessing he was referring to the db noise level.

I mean it's really stupid cause they don't have to give you a dbl reading.. if they feel it's too noisy (which it can be when you're heavy on the throttle). certificate or not.

If i had a "hot" exhaust. I'd ask for systems I could use and get it in writing. There are LEGAL exhausts

that's weird tho... GREDDY isn't really a loud exhaust... Usually like 86dlb... I think the Stillen and the HKS are well received in norcal.

That one is ridiculously loud. My Greddy is not loud at all. He must have what mw09g37 said, catless or something.

Thanks for the compliment, and yeah I agree that this greddy is around 90db. But like most exhaust systems, even stock ones, at WOT they can sound loud.

What was the Vehicle Code that he got you for?

Back in the day Trust/Greddy had actual certificates (from CARB or some other board, I forget) for their exhausts showing they were tested for legality and passed.

I successfully fought a modified exhaust ticket with this certificate in my hand. So, contact Greddy regarding certification...if not, just uninstall it, go to CHP to write it off and then put it back on!

did you have the silencers on ? funny thing is that I was pulled over a year ago bec of tinted windows and no plate in the front. Fortunately , I replaced the silencers a week before that. The cop told me " im having problems with you exhaust too". I replied " Sir, its under 93 decibels" ( I dont know exactly though , I just remembered the ad from Tanabe's exhaust). I still got a ticket for the windows and plate but not the exhaust.

 

Wow Anthony. That sucks man! Another ticket. Bad luck dude. Talk to Carlos, he got pulled over a couple months ago for his MXP and wound up selling it because he didn't want the hastle.
