Santa Monica Infiniti's "Going Out Of Business" sale

Just saw on their site that they're having a going out of business sale and selling all "New" cars at dealer invoice.

My question is, what do you think I could get a 08 (new) G37 at given the economy, their "sale", and the current market for 08 cars..?

Thought about putting this in "Buying & Leasing" but wanted to get specific about Santa Monica...

now that i read this,, it explains it all....possibly the shortage of technician at service dept

I'm going to check it out today, I'll let everyone know what the atmosphere is and how willing they are to swing "deals". Said plain as say on the site they're selling all new cars at dealer invoice so you best believe I'm gonna bring my Edmunds info..

Wow........probably the worst service I've ever had.

I salesman flat-out told me they aren't letting anyone test-drive the new cars because "they're going back to Infiniti at the end of the month and they don't want any miles on them".
I asked him how I was supposed to know if I wanted one without driving it and he said "you can go to another dealer and test drive one there, there's a few in the valley"

Not a minute before he walked into the showroom another salesman had just taken a 50-ish couple out for a test drive....

Anyhow, I politely tell him I will test drive it elsewhere. As soon as I got home I called the dealership and asked to speak to the sales manager. I explained to him how rudely I was treated and he profusely apologized, but I think the damage has been done - why should I even go back there after that BS?!

Anybody else ever have someone try to pull that chit with them?

^^^That (and the link posted on the dealer trashing the guy's sedan) is probably why they are "going out of business".

It seems like only 1 out of 5 dealers (not only Infiniti) is decent.

Finally spoke with someone decent there and they offered me $36.3k + TTL for a NEW 08 G37S (Red), 6spd w/ Premium and Graphite interior (0.9% financing)...

MSRP is $40.215

Still have some work to do to get my business but this was a step in the right direction...

So what happens to all those people who leased their cars from S.M.? Who are they going to return the cars too?

Good question; I asked her what happens with my car if upon delivery I notice some exterior blemishes (scratch, curb rash, etc), waiting to hear back. I imagine some Infiniti dealer in the area is now responsible for those cars...

You can return your leased car to any infiniti dealer. It doesn't have to be where you got it. On the other hand, for people who bought their car is a different story.
