Church Automotive Testing VQ Dyno & Tune Fest – sponsored by UpRev and Nissan Sport Magazine
Sat Nov 8, 2008 – 8:00am-6:00pm

Dyno:
Pay in advance: $20 for 2 pulls, confirmed time slot, 2 free raffle tickets
To pay in advance, PayPal $20 to: spchurch@earthlink.net – include real name, user name, contact email and preferred time slot (give 3 times) Time slots will be every 20 minutes starting at 8:00am (e.g 8:00, 8:20, 8:40, 9:00, etc.) Shawn will email you back confirming your reserved time.

Pay on day of: $30 for 2 pulls, first come first serve based on time/space available, 1 free raffle ticket
There is no guarantee that dyno slots will be open the day of. If you do not pay in advance and want to try and squeeze in the day of, it will be based on availability.

Don’t forget to bring your wheel lock keys!!

Tuning Specials:
Osiris standard flash tunes will be discounted to $500!!! for this day only (normally $650-$700) – this includes Osiris license plus dyno tune with up to five maps.

All other Osiris products (Pro Tuner, Cipher package) will be discounted by 10%

These tuning specials are this day only – there probably won’t be any time for tuning during the dyno day, but purchase must be made during this event to receive discount. If you do not attend in person you can still get the discount via phone with credit card payment.

As many of you know, these dyno pull prices are about half of what we normally pay for dyno days at Church’s. Shawn said he’d like to give something back to the VQ community - This is his way of saying thank you . As an added bonus, UpRev has committed to providing some products to be raffled off!!!

Raffle:
One Free Flash tune (valued at $650-$700)
One Free Cipher and Osiris package (valued at $700)
One Free Cipher package (valued at $200)

Also, Nissan Sport will have goodies and specials offered!

This is over $1500 of free stuff being given away!!!! Raffle tickets can be purchased for $2 each – and every pre-paid dyno includes 2 free tickets, every “day of” dyno (if available) includes 1 free ticket.

Free Food and Drink for all will be provided by Church Automotive Testing

For those that have attended previous Church dyno days you know how meticulous Shawn and his crew are – they take good care of the car and give top notch service! This event will be like no previous – Cheapest dynos ever! Exceptional tuning package prices, insane raffle prizes and Grub!!!

If you’ve been wondering how your car fares with others, now’s a good time to compare. If you need a base line to determine what gains your future mods give, this is a prefect opportunity! If you’ve been interested in one of (if not the) best tuning options out there but couldn’t quite afford it, this is the time to get it! These are smokin’ deals!

Or if you just want to win some great free prizes and eat free food – sign up and come out! Cool cars, great people, excellent shop and awesome sponsors! Hope to see you all there!!!

This is a VQ only event at this time. Since we are setting it up, attendance is our decision, but it won’t be hard to fill all the slots with VQ cars and Shawn would like to do something special for us.

perfect guy to go to if u want to tune your car. (hes tuned my car in the past) but stupid place to go to if you want a baseline because its a hub dyno which reads more then dyno jets and such that are to the wheels.

a baseline is only useful if you dyno on the same machine after mods... so if you baseline at this event, and ad mods in the future and dyno here again it will give you a rough idea of gains.

On the other hand, getting on a baseline on a dynojet then adding mods and dynoing on a completely different dynojet will not produce viable numbers to determine gains.

In reality before and after numbers on a dyno are going to be most accurate same day with same conditions. So it really doesn’t matter what type of dyno you get a baseline from, as long as you use the same machine with subsequent pulls after mods.

I only use dyno days to see how my car is doing compared to others that day. Next to racing at the track, this is the only way to see how your car really fares with others... Dynapack is very advantageous for tuning... I wouldn’t want my car tuned on a dynojet or any other roller - too many variances.

In any case, this should be a fun event. It’s a great chance to meet other enthusiasts and see what they have done to their cars... size up the ones that pull good numbers and talk with the owner to see what he/she did to get those numbers.

Dyno days at this shop historically have shown trends... for example, at one dyno day several cars were dynoing lower than the rest - the one common denominator was they had long tube CAI.

There are lots of good reasons for events like this and if you are interested in maximizing your car's potential its one of several research/learning options.

Since this is a G37 forum, some of the giveaways may not be so inviting... but who knows, maybe if a G37 wins an Osiris package maybe it could be applied towards future tune products? (you know its under development and is only a matter of time).

Anyway - hope to see some of you there.

another good reason for G37s to show up, is to see if you really do have more power than us 3.5 slugs

Uprev has stated that the giveaway WILL apply to the G37 in the long run; they are working on a reflash for the VQ37VHR.

We'll be there for the event. You can pick our brains and bribe us to get the G37 support going.

Prizes apply to all that enter, even if it's a Sentra. Shawn wants to show off our Osiris 2.0 product, and he's come up with the best way of doing it, invite everyone and get the manufacturer to show up.

Also who wants to miss out when Nissan Sport Mag will be there. You already know they have the best Magazine when it comes to info on your cars, why not get your car there and see if you can land a spot in the Magazine?!

I've run 30+ dyno pulls in a single session (testing product)... and honestly, I don't think you would benefit an ounce (or hp/trq) by pulling 3 or 4 times...

BUT I'm certain if time and space permits (and you have your reasons) additional pulls would be permitted/welcomed.

I suggest as a courtesy to others to wait and see if time permits.

If you plan to do before and after dyno's with simple bolt-ons, I'm quite positive accommodations can be made - and there are plenty of us to help wrench
