I specifically asked my dealer not to drill any holes.

It's law to have them in front where I'm from but not much enforced.

Safety checks will fail you of you dont have them on, so many people just "tape" them on when their yearly safety inspections.

true. im still not going to put on my front plates, and IF i do get pulled over by a cop, i think i'd rather have them sitting in my trunk than sitting in a drawer at home.

funny thing is, in my accord, my dad got into an accident and my front plate got pretty jacked. after the front body was fixed, i never put the plate on and kept the thrashed plate in my trunk. got pulled over one day, showed the officer the plate in my trunk saying i just got the car fixed and haven't received a new front plate yet and he said it was fine. not saying it'll always pan out this way, but better to have and not need than need and not have.
