Infiniti of Coconut Creek

just wondering if anyone remembers how much of a dealership fee they paid there.??? just bought a G37 from them with an $800 dealer fee. felt like it was a little much, but from what i understand it not-negotiable.
thanx, -Anthony

Of course they said it's not negotiable but it's a BS fee. Just another way for them to make money off of you. I don't go anywhere near IOCC unless I'm heading S. on 441 lol!

Yes 99% of them do but it's just a bs fee to get more money out of you. In fact, most states outlaw dealer fees. We have a guy up in West Palm who owns the Toyota dealerships trying to get FL to do the same.

Did you already pick up the car? If not, just tell them you're not taking delivery til you get the fee removed, that you have another dealer ready to sell who won't charge you any dealer fees.

I bought my G37S from them and when they added the $800 to the price we had negiotiated on the financing documents, I just stood up and told them I was out of there. They said they had to charge it. I said that's fine but they hadn't mentioned it before. I said I would chalk it up to a miscommunication and continued to the door. They quickly told me they would take $800 off the price and then add the dealer fee of $800 so the price was the same. I bought the GEE. Never regretted it for one second.

Dealers aren't allowed to remove dealer fees b.c of a law suit in California some time ago for discrimination since it was removed for some and not for others. So what they did in Foresite's case is the only way to "legally" do it. They subtract $800 from the negotiated price and then add it again as they were to charge dealer fees to break even.

Well they need to just remove it, period. It's bull**** and a lot of dealers nowadays are using the "no dealer fee" campaign to pull in new customers.

IOCC is notorious for this bs. Most dealer fees are $550-$650, but they have to charge $800.. and 99% of the cars that roll out of the have a $700+ pinstripe they just add for the heck of it.

Yup, they put the $699 package with nitro filled tires, ugly as hell pinstriping, and other bs. That's exactly y i walked out of the dealership and just went to Infiniti of Davie where they also tried to pull a ton of bs, like prep fees and other crap. Bottom line was I told them I wanted it $500 over invoice, and I knew the invoice price of the car. So after walking out the manager said he'll do it at 9:00 at night when they were closing. I didn't even let them wash the car or take off the plastics. I did it myself at home and fell asleep at 2:00 haha. Gotta love the G.

well i had already negotiated down to invoice price, so there was no room for the dealer to take off $800 from the price of the car and just tack-on their fee. So i think i did the best i could. It just sucks that the dealer fee is so damn high.

For the exact car in Jan 2008 (G37S, Nav, Premium), I paid $38,000, plus tax and title, with no dealer fee (or it was in the $38,000 see above). I also got Illuminated kick plates because they were already on the car. The joke is that I later got a $500 rebate back from Infiniti because my sister has an Infiniti.

When the 2009 is about to come out very soon, I wouldn't pay more than $35,000 right now.

IOCC is the biggets rip off, i went to Warren Henry off 75 and Griffen and the beat the price IOCC was giving me by 3k i couldnt believe it, the dealer fee from them was 200 which i didnt have a problem paying at all given the quality of service and honesty they provided.

haha - funny, two years after the last post, I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought the dealer fee was too high here. They had got down to the price I wanted, but then there was the issue of the dealer fee.

I told them that in my price analysis, I hadn't banked on paying an $899 dealer fee (which was entirely true, no BS, I hadn't figured on paying such a ridiculous additional amount!) After a little back and forth with them trying to make me a monthly payment buyer instead of on total price, they eventually gave in and just dropped the price of the car to get me where I needed to be, in effect waiving the dealer fee in addition to the little BS options I didn't want (first aid kit, cargo net, etc).

I think you can do well here, as they seem to be very driven by their sales numbers - at a certain point they'd rather meet their sales quotas than necessarily make a profit off you. If they can do both, great, but I got the sense that their sales numbers were of foremost importance. You just have to be on your game and not let your desire for the car outweigh your own good sense. Which is the same that could be said for most any dealer, I'm guessing.

I purchased from them but I was using the USAA car buying service.

I ended up paying $500 for the dealer fee so it was $33.5K for a '10 Journey Sedan + Premium.

I think that was fair.
