That's a great point... It sounds pretty easy to enable Tapatalk works with the current version of vb and I believe Tapatalk will even build iPhone, Android apps and more...

Reviving from the dead...

is tapatalk enabled? i used to be a 'NO' but now every html link posted on this forum has been modified with a shady apicdn.vgilink.com thing. a quick google search revealed that it has something to do with tapatalk.
if myg37 indeed works with taptalk i might go and make the app purchase

Honestly its not even worth using tapatalk. The site owners (IB) will have to pay them to create and maintain it so its not a very convenient route to take.

That has nothing to do with Tapatalk... It's a method of monetizing any affiliate purchases you may make when going offsite. It's an option to utilize in vBulletin.

You don't necessarily have to pay Tapatalk to utilize it on your site, same with Forumrunner. As has been mentioned previously in other threads, a "security risk" has been eluded to by IB...

What it REALLY boils down to, is that Internet Brands and vBulletin are pretty tight in the development of vBulletin (so much that they're listed as co-developers of the software), they're working on their own solution that keeps others' fingers from the monetary cookie jar.

I'd imagine that with VB5 Connect having finally been released from beta, it's only a matter of time...

I wish this forum was on TAPATALK, I would love to browse the site via a mobile app rather than the mobile site via the browser, any updates or information on this? I tried searching on Tapatalk 2, and it seems most of my favorite car forums are not on the app, why is that?

There will NEVER be Tapatalk available for MyG37 or any of the other InternetBrand sites. The simple reason is this IB owns ForumRunner, which they acquired 3/7/12. ForumRunner is a mobile Forum app that works on both Apple and Android, I don't know why IB would purchase a Mobile app and then not convert all of their web forums over. Especially, considering the high usage Smartphones and Tablets that rapidly becoming more popular then regular computers.

It seems like for years we have been asking for a mobile site and have been told one is coming, but nothing ever does.

Ya It's dumb I tried forum runner and they bought it but never updated or made use of it. It's a whole new world out there if they put forums on apps.

And the main reason I heard about tapatalk not working is because of the security issue of having the whole forum open to the app and it's a vulnerability, that's what a friend who runs AcuraZine told me

Quick Reply: tapatalk?
