premium membership price

Ok not bitching, well kind of lol i was going to show my support and become a premium member. Reason being is I own a 370z but I do come over here from time to time for info and to see whats up. For the most part we have the same car. Well my point being is 30 bucks is a little pricey for this. Am I the only one that thinks this? I would agree with like 15-20 and would hapily support with that price. Ok like I said not trying to bitch but this is my feed back/sugestion.

i kinda agree, ive been holding off because of that. I dont wanna sound cheap ect but i feel like 14.99 or 19.99 would be more fair. I mean i dont feel like i get 30 dollars worth of features, but at the same time i want to support the community.

Agreed. Not sure what is worth $30 for premium membership. $20 would be a better value. Definitely want to support the community, but there is a limit. This forum is awesome compared to others, so if that is what it takes then it will be considered.

I will be honest that this site doesn't have the extended benefits of Driver as a premier member, but that is because I think the benefits are member driven. There are enough premier members on Driver that bring an entirely different set of benefits to themselves. This site will get there, there is no doubt in my mind.

That being said...$30 a year is worth it to me just to keep the community going. I spend enough time on here, get so much information for my personal benefit, and discounts. It would be worth it just for that. Difference between $20 and $30...really? Does it give and bring everything I want? No...but I feel like the staff listens and tries to do their best to listen to the community needs. Ultimately, it is up to the community to drive the direction of the site and I don't think this community has stepped up in that sense yet.

Unfortunately those decisions are now in the hands of 'IB'. We talked a while back about revamping the Premier Membership benefits/prices/etc.. but I guess that's taken a back seat for the time being. I'd be interested in getting things back on track and offering different time/price options. Certainly worth discussing.

If I buy during the sale, can it take effect right after my current membership expires?

As far as I know it will extend your membership. If not, we can manually do this once a payment is made. I will double check everything before an announcement is made.
