I just tried with IE 7 (probably the most used browser on this site) and I'm getting the same error as Shumby, Psyh, and the others. I've never had a problem with IE 7 before or the settings that I have on it with any other website that I've ever visited.

If the problem is the browser (and no-one has yet proven that it is), then the error message displayed NEEDS to be changed to reflect what the problem actually is and tell of a way to correct it.

The problem could be the code to display the attachments themselves in that it is not talking to certain browsers correctly.

"Try a different browser" is not a proper response to this issue. "Let us know what browser you are running and we'll try to replicate the problem" is a proper response.

I just tried on another PC.. same problem.

Lightbulb Simple fix for people using Firefox

Do suffer from not being able to view attached pictures?
Do constantly wonder what that picture looks like?
Do you feel left out while other people are able to see them?

Here's a simple fix:

Open Firefox,
click on "Tools", then on "Add-ons"
then an "Add-ons" window appears and click "Get add-ons"

search "IE TAB" and download it.

now go to the thread that you are experiencing trouble on, click on the attachment, it will not work. keep that page and left click on that small FireFox symbol on the bottom of your browser and Voila, you'll see the pics.

Clear your cache (temporary Internet files), cookies, and history in IE. Then close the browser and go back to myg37.com and resign in.

^^^ Yeah, he tends to ignore Canadians cuz we're too polite.

NB: If your system has IE7 installed, the FF add-on for IE Tab will load IE7 rendering engine rather than IE6, and rrrevin already tested IE7 to NOT work either.

Tell me you're gonna tell all members to stop attaching their pictures and just use some free 3rd-party image hosting site like imageshack or photobucket.

Tried.. same error.

Someone mentioned somehting in the thread about attachments? I do know that I'm at my "limit" for attachments for posting.. could this be part of the problem? Perhaps the function that display attachments, also looks at your existing quota? If you are at the limit, it gives permission denied?

Simple test.. increase my quota and lett's see if it solves the problem. Thoughts?

If you think this will help then just delete one of the attachments that you have uploaded and see if this helps.

NB = nota bene, latin for "note well", as in, "please note".

Yeah, apparently IE7 works for you guys and not rrrevin. Strange... either way, I just use my IE tab and the problem's solved.
