18" wheel pic thread

I finally got my new wheels and tires mounted up! And yes, the car will be going lower in the future (still stock suspension), but I had to get rid of those 17's. They aren't the fanciest, but when you're expecting your first child, they were a compromise of looks and budget. (Pardon the Malibu, I'll get better pics when I clean the car up)
Wheels: Konig Oversteer Opal
Size: 18x9 +35
Tires: BF Goodrich G-Force Comp 2 A/S 245/45R18
Wheel weight: 22.35lbs
Not sure if they will clear big brakes

(I would also like to know if they would fit over the Akebono calipers on an S if anyone has info?)

These look quite nice. I was just looking at them on Amazon and a close examination of the design shows the spokes are only connected to the wheel at the outer edge/lip. The inside edge "behind" the spokes is open. I wonder how hard these will be to clean the brake dust out from behind the spokes (always a problem for me)?

I will try and download/print the template for the Akebono brakes soon and see if the template will fit these.

Really love the look the wheels go great with the coupe I was thinking of getting these same wheels put know very little about offset and all that ... if you don’t mind me asking why the square setup..... why the spacers ...any issues with handling .....any issue with 275 up front .....my stock wheels as probably yours were 19’s any difference dropping to 18’s ... I know 19 everything cost so much damn money..... thank in advance if u respond

So I decided to get a new setup. Rays Gramlights 57Xtreme. They were that mag blue color but I got them repainted. Now before I start getting the haters for removing the original color, IDC. I don’t like rice! I got enough ish from my friends and told them the same lol.

I'll update when the time comes to clean them. I usually like to pull my wheels off the car to clean, but I don't think these will be too bad because of all the space between spokes. They'll certainly be easier to clean than the "triple five spoke" 17s that came stock.

Did you ever get a chance to check the template against the back of these wheels? My rears are finally shot and I have a slow leak in one (found a screw in it but the shop would not plug it as I am down to 3/32) so I am looking to order some new wheels/tires for a square set up with 245/45-18 in the next couple of days to replace the duckfeet wheels... Still trying to figure out some inexpensive ($150-$175) 18x8 or 18x9 wheels that will clear the akebono calipers...

Slicks on knockoff XXR wheels? Brave my friend. Very Brave. I wouldn't trust a good set of summer tires on XXRs. You must have got a decent set if they held up but i would move to some decent wheels if you are still tracking your car on slicks.

The more and more I toy around with the idea of 19’s it just seems like a waste of money on wheels and than paying for expensive tires. After a couple weeks of looking i’ve about convinced myself to stick with 18’s.

i just got my hands on a 2013 G37 Sport Sedan. All stock now. I was thinking about running a staggered setup with these wedssports. If I understand correctly I can simply bolt on 18x8.5 in front and 18x9.5 and not worry about spacers or anything. Do you think the different F face and R face going to look funny like mismatched wheels or just give the staggered setup more pop to it?

Perhaps next year but getting a set of LMGT4's in gloss black for racing @ 18"'s is a must for me.
