20 inch rims?! Loving the look!

So my question is this.... If I have to just get rims and tires for now then save for the lowering how would 20s look on stock suspension? May go 19s for ease of transition. I do not want it to look like those ridiculous monster wheels some people ruin classic cars with.

They look terrible, like a monster truck.

Ouch. But so clean after the drop! Ugh so many decisions. I need to do this in stages. Maybe i could lower first. Would the amount of drop for 20s look good on stock 18s while I save money?

Lower first for sure. I got wheels without considering camber or how they would sit after the drop. So I had to get 15mm spacers after to get the same flush look I was aiming for. Get the drop done, every G seems to take to a drop differently, and some take a lot of work to get aligned properly, while others get away with some camber bolts and thats it. Get your suspension settled in first, and then go for the wheels. Learn from my mistake haha. I have a few more ugly monster truck pics in my build thread if you want to see (in my sig).

Also, once you go lower, ride quality will go down a bit. See how your butt feels first, and maybe consider 19"s instead of 20"s because it only gets worse from there. Im going to 18"s this year.

ride quality on 18s and 19s feels the same to me. 20s would probably be pretty bad though with that really thin sidewall

I lost two new tires on 20"s in one year hitting potholes. You don't even notice you don't have any air left till its all gone and you're already riding on your sidewalls. Pressure drops instantly, and TPMS doesn't have time to kick in. When the light went on, I pulled over, and the tire was done. Big price to pay if you're spending 200-250 per tire +.
